Why Can't Employers Find Me on Indeed?

If you can't change your profile settings to Employers can find you, we may have hidden your CV. We'll temporarily or permanently hide CVs that don't meet our CV guidelines and Terms of Service. You'll have to send an appeal so we can review your CV.

How to tell if your CV is hidden

Your CV might be hidden if:

  • You can't change the visibility settings in your profile
  • You receive a notification saying there's an issue with your profile

Sending an appeal

  1. Open the Contact us form.
  2. Fill out the form with:
    • Your full name
    • The reason for your appeal
    • Your current location
  3. Upload one of these forms of identification:
    • Government-issued driving licence or ID
    • National identity card
    • Work visa
    • Passport
    • Military ID
    • Student ID
  4. Select Send email to submit your appeal.

ID requirements

  • The location on your ID must match the general location in your profile.
  • Don't send an ID that has been edited or changed in any way.

We only use your ID to check your appeal. We delete your documents after the review has been completed. Learn more in our Privacy Policy.

What happens next

  • We'll review your appeal within 24 hours.
  • We'll email you if we need more information.
  • You can check the status of your appeal by signing in to your profile.
